we were told there may be a program to install please explain my husband and I are both new to the computer and have no time right now to take a class

Drivers are small programs that tell Windows what a piece of hardware is and how to use it. Since I don't know just exactly what drivers you need it is impossible to help. If you would repost your question with a little more info, I'm sure that one of us can help.

first drivers can be downloaded sometimes they come with updates should be able to find them.... are you getting a warning saying you need a driver or one that says update... drivers help do differant jobs with differnt programs nothing to worry about if the program is asking to update driver or missing a driver what is the driver that is missing.
