Yes that's a great idea. It would encourage teams to attack more than defend. We would certainly see lots more goals and less boring goalless draws.

Maybe they should say that if a team scores more than 3 goals in a match they get an extra point, i would like too see that rule introuduced!

not a chance, it would change the way a team views a game, its not all about chasing goals....
Plus if you brought that it, you would also have to give extra points to teams who lose by a certain number of goals, and that would be a disaster, you would have teams shutting up shop and defending to get a a bonus point.
Bonus points work in rugby but never in football....

yes of course,becos the goals scored from outside the eighteen and are shoking,like the goal of David Beckam with a freekick shoot out and that of Amokachi in 1994 against brazil.so,goals like that should be awarded extra points.u okay?holla.

It might encourage teams to stop going defensive.
No more drab 0-0 draws.
