what is the best way to redeem yourself after you get drunk at somebody elses house and have to see those people on separate occasions ???

Apologize.
Never do it again.
Make sure your future behavior is impeccable.

Say "I apologize for my behavior at your house. I'm sorry if I offended you." Also, a small gift works wonders.
