Prime Minister Trudeau of Canada did declare martial law over Montreal in 1970 in response to kidnappings by Quebec separatists.

I think the only military action in Canada in the 60's and 70's were the Cowardly draft dodgers of America!
Keep em, it's not a catch and release crime in my opinion.
