feedback is nnot always real. the person could just make several accounts, and just use them to praise his or her original account they sell with. since you can do this, dont trust the feedback all to well, unless it is bad. cause, face it, whose gonna bad talk themselves.

Um, I'm not a big eBay-er(lol) but I know my brother is, and when you buy something you can write whatever you want as feedback, basically. I'm guessing that if they had a bad experience with this person they'll say it because they're so annoyed. Who knows if they're telling the truth, but YES it is real the buyers chose what they want to say.

A lot of it is real. A lot of it is fake because to boost feedback individuals or stores will have friends or employees "buy" stuff to get positive feedback and boost their scores. A lot of people post the same stuff because they are lazy or don't know what to say for feedback. And sometimes people who buy multiple items will use the same feedback for all items. as long as the transaction went smoothly.

Hah - its hard to think of something new for each one believe me. I ran out of new things to say after about 200 sales!
Ohh and another thing - a lot of people use Selling Manager so that automatically leaves identical feedback for everyone!

i think you take the feed back with a grain of salt...
i had some one buy some stuff from me, came to my house, inspected the stuff, took the stuff, then called me wanting money back.. this after it rode in the back of an open pickup truck for 800 miles.. claimed the items were damaged...they gave me negative feed back for items not as received.. then i ordered something, it after emailing (im not paying for long distance) a bunch of times, and not getting an answer, we are talking weeks now, i finally left negative feed back about the length of time and no communication.. they left me negative feed back even though i paid the next day after auction closed and they wouldnt answer my emails... i really dont care in either case.. i cant help people leaving negative feed back because they messed the stuff up or take the money, dont answer email or send things in a timely manner...
so no, i dont totally believe the feed back ratings....

The feedback is real. There is less negative feedback, than there ought to be however. This is because if you leave negative feedback about someone, then most times they will retaliate and leave negative feedback about you, even it it is unjustified.

Most of it's real but there have been cases of people making multiple accounts and fraudulently jacking up their feedback scores.

been ebaying for about 8 years... feedback always seem generic. what really counts is that its positive because an irite ebayer will have no problem giving you a negative feedback in bad situations

yes it is. its real. when ppl dont like their product or do like their product, they give feedbacks depending on their opinion. like if it had scratches or it was in good shape and stuff like that. but they are all real!!
