I think using a computer is no different then drive a car.
Two different extremes but you get the point.

Using a computer is nothing. As long as you set yourself a limit on how much to use it.
Some people cannot live without it as it is their only entertainment and / or only way that they can communicate with their family / loved ones / friends.

However, some people have an addiction and cannot seem to pull away long enough to take care of the things in their lives when they are needed.

My opinion:
I made a mistake years ago by getting into computers. Back then it was the thing to get into (Computer Technician) and have seen several people become dependant on computers.
Chat for one. Seems some cannot live without it and then they start trouble with others.

When you sit at a computer for long periods of time, arranging the keyboard, monitor, mouse and other frequently used items is important. The article mentions the chair you use too. One thing to keep in mind is how the desk and chair align with each other.

If you have an adjustable height chair and raise it to a comfortable level for typing, those with shorter legs can have a problem with their feet reaching the floor. Without a foot rest, pressure will be applied behind your knees, cutting off circulation. This can cause your legs to go to sleep or your feet to swell.

A foot rest can be made of anything high enough to be comfortable. Example: My desk is built so high that I adjust my chair to the point where my feet to not touch the floor. So I use a cordless drill box as a foot rest, keeping the pressure off my legs, reducing feet swelling and making the time at the desk more comfortable.
