class is not always defined by money earned per annum... the person would interact with upper, but unless he/she had been there a long time would not be accepted by the upper class.

a quick way to tell what class the person is in, is if they worry about their class. upper class never worries, and neither does lower, class is only an issue for the middle layer as they strive to ensure they are not lower and could be upper...

Upper middle class as long as you use your money wisely. i also agree that you should get paid more for a job like that.
