My little brother lives in the basement of our home, and he sometimes gets lazy and decides to urinate inot the sump pump. In the part where the water sits. Being that this is a thing that pums everything out of the house is it a problem he does it or can this cause complications later on?

Urine ferments (to create stench/stink and attract different kinds of bugs) also the composite of urine can damage components of the sump pump. 1) stink 2) bugs 3) damage pump - - yeah, I think it can cause a problem.

Tell parents, then have extra water thrown in sump pump hole to flush it out.

The pump is to "take out the water". Where does this water go? Outside/ But where? If it just take it away from the home and dumps it into the ground, My question is Do you have a well? If so, the waste water from the house Could be getting into the well system. Where does it go?
It's not a joyful thing to think about.
Tell your brother that the smell, later down the road, WILL come back to haunt him. (& the rest of the family too)

Depends on how fast the sump pump empties. Other than stinky and gross I don't see a problem. Somebody build a urinal in the downstairs bathroom for the bum.

it will stink because the sump pump only pumps out when it is full this is one of the few times when telling dad is ok if he does not care then move on

If the pump cycles once or twice a day it won't cause a problem as gross as it is. If he pees on the motor or switch it could blow his willy clean off.
