This morning a user asked, "What is your solution to the demise of the Republican party?" One answer said the republicans needing to regroup.
The Democrats took power in both the House and the Senate at the turn of the year. This was a HUGE issue for the democrats and quite a HUGE victory!
For weeks prior to being sworn, during swearing in and ever since, most the people elected vowed to correct everything the previous republican administration had ruined.
Are people coming up with questions like this (((("in the know")))) about the approval rating in the Democratic (led) House sliding to an all time low of 14%?????
Republicans regrouping? They're regrouping started to take place 7 months ago when the libs were sworn in. The result of some of their regrouping has the libs pecking at each other, pecking at others and they've lost a grip on reality by not doing ANYTHING constructive ever since.
I wish to hell I could get paid for doing nothing! When does their raise kick in? lol

psssst, Ryan:
Many republicans were in favor of both of those issues. The outcome was basically already written. (rolls eyes)

Most of them actually think that we'll vote for a Democrat simply because many Republicans aren't pleased with the Bush administration I for one, am not thrilled with Bush and the fact that this president is NOT conservative.
Would that make me run to the party that promotes Socialism? NOT!!!! LOL Our party is alive and well and maybe it took our loss in '06 to wake many of us up. :)

The Democrats have made two of their objectives a reality: the minimum wage increase and fully implementing the recommendations of the 9/11 commission.
That is a 33 percent success rate and they only accomplished them by watering down their plans to get Republican votes.
The Democrats need to look back at the 1946 elections. The Republicans won control of Congress in 1946 on a mandate for change against an unpopular President, but they were swept from power in 1948 because they failed to do anything during their two years.

you're stats are misleading, as the democratic portion of congress test out to about 44% and the republicans are lower, also you're understanding of how the government works is wrong, The dems can't do much without 2.3rds majority, and with so many republicans willing to go down with the ship, thats not going to happen until next election, the the Dems get the white house and the majority of congress.
Other than not understanding these key things though, what exactly is you're question?

Funny how you don't mention the Iraq war, the scandal at the Justice Dept, the massive deficit, or the fact that Republican voters are very dissatisfied with the candidates in the GOP primary. Yes, the Dems are a dissapointment in Congress thus far, but the Republicans have little to stand on.

Actually all of politics needs to be regrouped. Both parties have proven they can only accomplish pay raises and inaction.

Republicans have started to come around on their blind support of bush, if voting dem has achieved that then I'm good to go; only reason I am a dem is because the republicans have strayed into a realm where power is more important than principle and morality.

Oh, yes, I agree, indeed their goal was only to get elected, now they think they can just sit around on their duff! They think the public doesn't notice this,, ahh and now we are in for round 2.
crushinator01 -- don't blame the Republicans for Dem's failures, it's due to bad leadership.
