ok I took a pregnancy test 2 weeks ago...and it was negative now I'm a 5 days late.....is it possible that i could be pregnant even if the test was negative two weeks ago??

Oh definitely...
You don't usually get a positive until you are at least 10 days pregnant (or 10 days after you ovulated).
If your period was due 5 days ago, that means you took your test probably before you ever ovulated.
Take another test. And don't spend too much $$. You can get $1 pregnancy tests that work wonderfully at Dollar Tree stores. (they are as sensitive as the $10 ones)
I got a positive 11 days after I ovulated. I have a short luteal phase , so I got that positive about a day after my period would have been missed.

If you are only 5 days late then you tested too early. You could be pregnant but you just tested too early. The very earliest you should test is 5 days before your period is due and that is REALLY early so your chances of getting a positive reading is slim. That would be 10 days ago, so 2 weeks ago was definitely WAY too early. Alot of people dont test positive until 2-3 days before their period so that would be only a week ago for you.
I would retest now because you should get a real answer now.

yep its possible!! if you tested 2 weeks ago and your period is only just late. then theres a good chance your pregnant.
if you are then 2 weeks ago would have been far too early for even the earliest pregnancy test to detect.
If your unsure take a test now and if thats neg then leave it a few more days test again and if your still not showing then see the dr about getting a blood test they are more accurate than urine tests anyway.

you should retest... if u took it 2 weeks ago it would have been too early. the earliest a urine test can pick up the pregnancy hormone is 5 days before your missed period. if this test is negative i would see your gynocologist. good luck!

Yes, for a more accurate test you should always wait until after your missed period to test. You could very well be preggers...I say test again. Good luck and i hope you get the answer you want!!

Yes, pregnancy tests can sometimes miss the hormone that tips off the prenancy.

you tested too early, that's why it was negative. test again now.
