Usually Denso compressors are the ones to get. Depending on the car and compressor, the compressor could be universal. But I am not completely sure. Ask your local mechanic and see what he says.

Blown compressor? Best way to get right compressor is tell the person at the parts house the make and model of your car. Also engine size and type of transmission. Then specify it is for a R-134 system.
If it is not just the clutch locked up. You will need to have the system flushed before changing compressors. Reason the vanes are made out of a teflon type material and when they break and lock up the compressor fragments are going to get in the system and will need to be flushed out or else they will work their way back to the new compressor and lock it up.

thats a big repair to be preceded by such a silly question. what the other guy forgot to say is that you will need a 450 dollar vacuum pump to finish the job correctly. probably best to pay someone who knows what they are doing to make your air blow cold.
