I was just perusing the Yahoo Answers...and noted that pretty much anything GLBT related is placed under the "Society and Culture" Yahoo Answers Forum instead of being placed in the "Family and Relationships" Yahoo Forum.

I know that this question will draw a lot of different heated answers and opinions, just try to answer what is being pointed out. Is GLBT is "Society and Culture" or a "Family and Relationship?"

Maybe Family and Relationships should be a subsection of Society and Culture?

Society & Culture is a broader form. Family & Relationships are not always gay. LGBTis a subsection of S&C. i see nothing wrong with this classification.

But i suppost it could go either way. Not exactly a heated opinion for me--so long as i can find the site to go to.

This is my reasoning on the subject.
The LGBT category was not made for gay people. I believe that this category was made for the purpose of people who have questions about LGBT. It is that reason why it is under Society and Culture.
This isn't like a chatroom for specific people. That is why everyone asks questions about LGBT, be them real or evil.
Being gay myself I come here first because the LGBT community has taken this category for our own.

To end, LOL, this wasn't made for just us. It just became that way.

It's kind of strange...It ought to be in Family and Relationships, like you said.
