Unfortunatley you can not get a good appraisal from a website using a picture. Check your local phone book and find an certified appraiser to bring your items to (or bring them to your house). If your items are all in a specific category (i.e. dolls, coins, sports, furniture, etc.) try to find an appraiser that specializes in the field for best result.

You do not need to enter the items on ebay, but you can search the site for items the same as your own and it will give you a good guide as to the price. Remember that condition counts in a lot of items and can make a huge difference in the price, and it's not always possible to see this in a picture , so look in your local telephone book for someone who deals in these articles and see if they want to buy, at least if you have got a guide from ebay, you will know if you are being offered a good price. Also remember if you are selling to a dealer, they will want to make a profit, but if you can find someone who collects that item they may pay more.
