This is a delicate ham that can be eaten raw as a starter (hors d'ouevre), or cooked. Dice it or slice it thinly and cook in butter and eat it with whatever you like.

Its beautiful and very addictive - have it with buffalo mozzarella cheese and figs, or just really good tomatos and virgin olive oil, bit a salt and lots of black pepper - will be yummy, you don't need to cook it but you can wrap a chicken breast stuffed with spinnich and ricotta in it and bake in the oven and the flavour will intensify and it will go crispy.

My god - got to speed to tescos and get some now!

I've only had it raw. It's pretty good when wrapped around melon. Many people serve it as an antipasto with marinated olives, tomatoes, mozzarella. Yum!

I don't like it as well as regular ham and it is much more expensive. My mother in law buys it for our Christmas Eve potluck. We spread cream cheese on it and put a pickled asparagus spear and roll it up.

what mycatty said.

You can definitely eat it 'raw', I rarely cook it (unless Im using it as a topping for pizza or mixed in with some pasta) and havent died yet, so I think youre safe ;)

Delicious as it comes, with a nice green salad and mozarella cheese, and a perky Chianti to wash it down.
