No. Torre should not be fired. Pitching wins baseball games. No matter what happens this season, I think if I were Torre, I would simply walk away from it all.

Just isnt worth the headache. He may not be ready to give up baseball, but maybe take a season off. It would be good for him.

ok first of all their not making the playoffs. they might have pretty good hitting but, they have no pitching whatsoever. look at the red sox. beckett - 13-3 matsusaka- 13-5 schilling- 7-2 lester 1-0
wakefield- 11-5. you could score 20 runs but still lose because of bad pitching. pitching beats hitting any day

mike the dj you are stupid the players do not lose all the games. sometimes the manger makes a mistake for a sac bunt or just his coaching style. or bringing in the wrong pitcher. players and coaches lose games. the manager is part of the team right?

Yeah, Because they won't even Make the Playoffs Right Now, being 8 games Out in Second Place nobody in Baseball is that Far Out, so it tells me Torre will be Fired.

torre's style of managing i think costs the yankees 10 to 15 wins a year. he is great with the players, great with the media, but seems to have more of a desire to take care of the players then to win games, torre does a lot of dumb things in games, but after the number of years he has been the manager, you really cant fire him now.

i don't think George should fire him. I think he needs to fire the players. When you blame the manager for the fault of the players its wrong. Plus anyone could manage the Yankees with the players they have,

I think Joe should resign so that they don't have to fire him. But they should fire The GM and start over "building" a team instead of buying it.
