They are pretty specific about these things; best to call your nearest fire dept. for info or try the City of Toronto website: http://www.toronto.ca/

I think you have to get a permit to have one - the only part of the fire code I know for sure is that BBQ's are illegal in apartment buildings in Scarberia ;););)
