There's a famous experiment carried out by Masters that proved that about 90% of women become aroused when shown scenes of lesbianism whereas only about 5% of men were aroused when shown scenes of male homosexuality. And yes, very few women, about 20% act on this.

No. I'm definitly not bi. From personal experience being a teenager.. a lot of kids now are going around saying they're bi because it's become some 'trend' to them. It's annoying. If you're bi you're bi, but that means you're not afraid to do things with the same sex.

no, but the majority of women are curious.

dunno why that is, maybe because when they are little and they don't conform to social expectations, nobody calls them lesbians. as opposed to boys who are told that they are gay when they are not "manly enough", thus causing "gay" to be associated with "unworthy", "failure", and "unmanly". women often don't have these connotations and are thus more open to the idea of exploring their sexuality with other women.

however, due to the socially imprinted stigma surrounding homosexuality, many people choose not to act on their impulses, for fear of being discriminated against. a bunch of stone-throwing fundies is scary and not worth facing if you're just curious.

some women are 100% pure bred lesbians, but choose not to come out of the closet (which is different that merely acting on an impulse) because of, amongst others, the abovementioned stone-throwers. for their own survival they choose to stay "straight".

and being bisexual does not mean kissing another woman so your man can get his rocks off, it is a lifestyle, just like homosexuality. it is often considered more difficult to be bisexual than gay, because you are often rejected by both hetero- and homosexual society, as you break the fundemental the rules of both (don't sleep with the same/opposite sex).

hope this helps clear things up.

I think sexuality is a sliding scale, but that doesn't mean that everyone is labelled as bi, or bi with tendencies or anything.

I do think that women are probably a bit more open about trying things with the same sex because the taboo isn't as strong on lesbians as it is on gay men.

because they feel like they are doing something wrong when really, no one has the right to tell them that its wrong if they believe their is nothing wrong with it. but it's not true that all women are bi, just like all men aren't bi.

no. Women might look at other women and think they are hot or sexy but for other reasons than being bi!
