When you connect with someone and its not in its purest of intentions (one night stands) with the one you hold dear is sex just meaningless sex or is it heightened on a spiritual level

Sex carries different meaning for different people. For one following the spiritual path sex is simply a means to progeny! For a true seeker of spirituality... indulgence in sex is a taboo (a self imposed limitation)! For a spiritual seeker... practice of celibacy is an essential must! Does this mean that all spiritual seekers do not enjoy partaking sex! Every single spiritual seeker feels elated in this joyful act but the goal of life is of foremost importance.
Indulgence in sex for the sake of enjoyment is living the life of an animal! Human being... The highest manifest stage in the cosmic cycle must learn to control inner inhibitions and direct the powers that be to more creative channels! The monthly quota of sexual energy available to every man and woman was meant for gaining higher stages of manifest life! What of the animal instinct within human beings that leads one to one night stands!
One whom we love... how we can ever indulge with one in one night stands! This is simply disregarding the real purpose of love. Indulgence in sex is purely a matter of personal choice. Those who truly love each other must never indulge in sex more than twice a month. Bhagavad Gita... the most sacred scripture existing on Mother Earth does not entirely prohibit indulgence in sex but limits it to almost 24 times a year.
The sexual energy if tapped properly leads one in becoming a Bill Gates, Henry Ford, Andrew Carnegie or a Napoleon Hill. All these highly accomplished people reached higher brackets in life by transmuting the powerful sexual energy to more creative channels! Mere slavish animal indulgence leads nowhere. Practicing absolute celibacy for a minimum period of 12 years leads one to becoming a Mahavira, Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ or Prophet Mohammed!
Sex and spirituality are two different banks of the same river. They never connect to each other ever! Acharya Rajneesh (aka Osho) preached rather mixed sex with spirituality. Initially the community was highly excited! Their joy knew no bounds! Acharya Rajneesh made the biggest blunder of his life. The act of sex can never be spiritual. Spirituality demands highest level of perfection that can only be reached by practicing absolute celibacy!
Acharya Rajneesh fell from grace to the extent he was turned out of USA as a miserable failure. No country on Mother Earth was willing to accept him. Finally, India his motherland accepted him. Amongst all teachings of Acharya Rajneesh (Osho) his mixing of sex with spirituality was the only blunder committed by him. Sex with a one night stand is just a Good 4 the Moment. But i believe that sex with someone you love can be spiritual. Don't get me wrong, there still is an occasional Good 4 the Moment fix, but when the timing is right I think there is no better connection than sex. I'm a big believer that sex between two that are in love is a very big part of that relationship. Only during that time when you are connected (no pun intended) that way will you ever experience the spiritual level between you two.

Sex is nothing other than coitus. Love is a soulful bond where two become one, and it can certainly involve sex, but it is a much broader and more important thing than sex. "Mr. Feel Good for the Moment and Meaningless to You" is not precisely sex, but physical pleasure of any kind. In itself sex is neither good nor evil: Much larger entities are involved in that calculation.

I would think that everyone has a one night stand fantasy.
But to connect with someone in a deep feeling way is a better sex partner though it does not mean they love you forever the way they say. When you get hieghten on a spiritual level with a partner chances are when they leave so does that level.

Chi-In chinese it means the vital energy. Sex energy too is termed a vital energy.
For some it is a way to spirit, For many it is an act of pleasure and need utmost.
Your question is about this "Some V/s Many".
It has got too many dimensions. Spiritual, Biological, Pleasure and what not.
Many a times I think it is just all an imagination. Yes, it is just a mere imagination and we are cheating ourselves, when it is not absolutely biological.

Meaningless sex is so called because the bond you speak of is not there. It is a bond formed emotionally as well as sexually, otherwise it is two separate people individually performing an act on each other that will leave them no closer.

sex is moments in life when 2 become 1 unit connected by souls.
one-night stand is meaningless...to me. you destroy your soul with each sex act, when you have sex with everyone from the street. and eventually when truth love comes you'll be empty as soul.

Love leads to marriage which leads to sex and which leads to a happy family.
If you f with anyone just because you have to release those urges, then it is just something physical. After the climax, your sex partner would not be holding you in a loving way and make you feel loved and cared for. You will go off feeling worse. You might as well d i y.
