if you forget to feed a baetta fish for one day will it die? I am pet sitting and forgot to feed it yesterday. Thanks.

Nope, not a problem at all. In fact, a betta can easily go a week without food. Now, I wouldn't do that to the fish and especially not if you promised to feed it every day.

First of all the right spelling is "Betta"
No the fish won't die, it's good for at least 1 week with out food, but it's still not recommended
But it's always better do underfeed fish then overfeeding them

No it shouldn't die. I had one awhile ago and my friend forgot to feed it for a week while I was out of town and when I came back, it was pretty much the same as it was when I left. Don't over feed it to compensate though. Too much food can kill it!

I don't think so...but I do suggest you to feed it NOW! (smile) He's probably hungry so it's best to feed him as soon as possible. If he's in a small tank, why not take him to your place and that way you won't forget because he'll be there staring you in the face...good luck and feed that fish! (smile)

IF you forget to feed the Betta fish only one day,it will not die.Try not to forget the second day OK.Plus,you relay don't have to feed that fish much.There stomach is only big as the eye they have.

it wouldnt hurt if dont feed ur fish for one day.. it helps them not to be spoiled a lot with FOOD.. they can live without 1 dAY of food..

No, this has happened to me through many bettas and they have all been okay. Overfeeding them will cause them problems. Remember better to underfeed than over.

Don't worry about it. Bettas can go up to a week without food, completely unharmed. He will be fine.

Don't worry. The little guys are amazingly hardy and it's actually good to skip a day to let their tummies rest.
