The great big featherbed!
It has 9 foot wide, 6 foot high, soft as a downy chick. It was made from the feathers of forty 'leven geese, took a whole bolt of cloth for the tick. It would hold 8 kids, 4 hound dogs and a piggie we stole from the shed. We didn't get much sleep, but we had alot of fun on that great big feather bed!

The first - fifth grade I would go to my Granny's house after school and she would always have a special treat for me...sometimes it would be banana pudding or she made this candy out of potatoes and peanut butter...it was cool. Plus she had a huge yard to play in and trees to climb.
I really loved staying with my Granny...everyone called her Miss Pearl.
