A hammer! I have found that I can do almost any DIY task with a hammer!

The most handy tool besides a hammer is a "Dremel"! It can grind metal, sand wood and metal, cut anything, drill holes, polish, just about anything you can think of it can do! I have had many dremels in the years since they were introduced, and I use them so much I keep burning them out. The corded variable speed models are my favorite.

some of your stores like wal-mart, Lowe's, home depot sell small do-it yourself kits chances are they won't include things to paint with but if you go to Lowe's or home depot they have small paint kits also. some of the tools should include 7 or 9 pc. screwdriver set, hammer, razor knife , adj. pliers, adj. wrench, electrical tape, nail assortment screw assortment, and some sort of electrical tester
