Carson Palmer is better and it is not even close.
The fact that Brady was on some championship winning teams is completely irrelevant to the discussion.
For all of you saying Brady hasn't had receivers will you admit that if he puts up his usual average numbers once again and throws yet another playoff game loser like in Denver & Indianapolis that he is NOT the best but is in fact just an above average quarterback blessed to be on a team with a fabulous defense and excellent coaching throughout the championship run?

If you just go by hardware it would be Brady, but those wins were by a team, not just him. The Patriots have had a better team/coach in the past.
As far as a better QB, I would say Palmer. He has a bigger/stronger arm, and has better stats.
2006
Brady:
QB rating - 87.9
Completion % - 61.8
Yards - 3529
Yrds/gm - 220.6
TD's - 24
INT's - 12
Sacks - 26
Palmer:
QB rating - 93.9
Completion % - 62.3
Yards - 4035
Yrds/gm - 252.2
INT's - 13
TD's - 28
Sacks 36
So Palemer has better stats with the exception that he threw one more INT. But his offensive line was not as good either, hence the additional 10 sacks.
Finally, there is a reason that Palmer was the #1 pick vs Brady being Mr. Irrelevant (basically). The pro scouts I am sure know more than most of us.
Brady is good, but I would take Palmer over him.

Brady does have the rings and before he is done I think he'll have more, and I'm not much of a Pats fan really. He will probably be a H.o.F. I do like how they won without big name players, or well they weren't big name until they won.
That being said though, what is Tom Brady going to look like if he actually have big time receivers for once and he doesn't take them all the way? Expectations should be higher than ever since he does have Moss & Stallworth.

Tom Brady has the hardware and is a sure fire Hall of Famer. Carson Palmer has done a slightly better than mediocre job on an underachieving (except with the police) Bengals team.

Carson Palmer is good, Tom Brady is better (even though I think the guy is a dick for leaving his pregnant girlfriend for a Victoria secret model, and even though I can't stand the Patriots!)

Brady hands down.
The point is to win the Super Bowl. Stats may be great for individual honors, but team play is by far more important. Palmer has had good recievers and still can't get thru the playoffs.

brady won without any HUGE recievers. The old recievers were good, but nothing like Carson's Chad Johnson. Now Tom Brady has Donte Stallworth and Randy Moss, he's gonna be unstoppable.
Brady all the way.

Tom Brady is by far the best football player in the modern area at his position. He is not the best dart thrower, as a Drew Bledsoe, and the class of 1983.
Brady's unselfish, "get it done at any cost" attitude, raise the play of all around him. This is why, they can win Super Bowls, without 99% of their starters.
Even though he's compared to Joe Montana, I feel a better comparison would be to Brett Farve, or a Terry Bradshaw.
He's got Heart, and genuine love to compete!
Because of his intangable qualities, he is the best. He's the guy that will win.
Edit: Drewblood, how do you know he left his girl friend? Were you in the bedroom. My image of him was rocked (I thought he'd be above that), but that's between them.

Palmer is the better QB as throwing and running but, you can't argue with Bady's rings..
But, Plamer is still young.. 3rd year.. Brady has been in the league at least 7 years.. Give palmer a few more years...
