because i want limewire but people are saying that it slows down your computer and that it can give you a lot of viruses! now im not so sure! so is there any other free {illegal...hahah} music downloading systems!? or is there no problems with limewire?? let me no please thank you

hey, I use limewire & it hasnt slowed down my pc any at all. I do use several strong security tools that stop virus and adware-spyware from infecting my pc.and I scan every file before I use it to be safe.so use lime wire but be safe by checking with virus scanner.

As far as I am concerned Limewire is the best for downloading music. I have tried several other sources but found none better. It does not slow down my pc and I have had no problems with it since it first came out

bearshare has lost its suite it was a product of the limewire corp.
bearshare wll now longer be updated and soon will be outdated.
use aresgalaxy from http://sourceforge.net just search for it on there site.
no malware,spyware and in the 3 almost 4 years i have used it i have only gotten 2 bad files. that was from downloading programs don't download those and your good to go.

i've had limewire for 5 months so far had not had any problems what so ever. no for a fact that i've downloaded
over 400 songs an put them on ipod. can't complain.

Any P2P system is going to expose you to a LOT of malware. The bastards that write the stuff have figure out (correctly) that pirates won't be filing any complaints when their systems get infected or hacked.
On top of that, a lot of the P2P clients are loaded with spyware and adware themselves. Again, when you're breaking the law yourself, who are you going to complain to?
