If you realize that you really have a gift for something, will you throw your gift away and try in a very hard way to achieve your goal, like staying up,puting on more difficulties for yourself(pressure or something)?Saying you have faced a lot of difficulties and you are "working hard" to get over the difficult moment in your life...(Maybe until someday you find out your gift disppears, that's the second problem, what should you do next? And the first question is important, too, ignore the second one when you answer the first one.)

Usually, if you have a gift, you have no choice. You are stuck. You follow a certain path because that is what you must do. There is no other way, no other path to take.

When a gift is "thrown away," it is usually an indication of the degree of the gift. For instance, if you are gifted in music, but not as talented as you might think, or not as motivated to use the gift, it is probably not a big gift to start with. Truly gifted people follow a certain path because it is innate, overpowering and nonnegotiable.

Secondly, a gift for something does not usually disappear, but may lay fallow, unused, for various reasons. But do not equate success with fame and fortune. Many truly gifted people are unknown, unsuccessful financially, and yet live full and satisfying lives.

Having a gift for something must be valued and kept. Then use this gift to achieve your goal in helping out other people. Make use of it because not all are lucky to have it. Stupidity if you will throw it for nothing. I could not see myself being given a special gift then you will not give importance to it, I could not draw a line for me not to accept it. A gift for me is a gift --- you should treasure it and share what you have especially to the needy.

if i realized i had a gift for something, i would consider having the development of that gift as my goal, incorporating that gift into my life, to benefit it, maybe with how i relate to others, or even into my work goals/field, so i am not sure what exactly you are saying?
but yes, sometimes in life we get busy with just the living of it, the making our way, that we forget about the gifts we have, but i dont think they disappear
we just need to focus in on them, even if just as a hobby or something we think about during our free time
