Jealousy is a negative emotions where you are unsatisfied with something and when you others get it, you develop jealousy. We are supposed to control this negative energy, but many of us just give in to it. Look in the history, many wars were fought over jealousy. It's one of humans biggest enemy which makes us so vulnerable.

If what ru4real said is right, then that means that I'm an animal, hmm, I think i am a chinchilla, oh yes, cute and fuzzy till i bite, then I'm wild penguin food... who is jealous anyways, I don't care what other people have, I have a son, a daughter and a baby on the way, and people are jealous of me, though I would have gladly given this pregnancy away(is that bad of me to say it outloud(I talk to myself as i type(is that bad too?(what is with all this punctuation(I must be going insane(I want what people do not have(peace and quiet.).).).).)does that mean I am crazy?) I love my kids I wasnt wanting another breast hugger quite yet though.)

because we are each different people
with different lives, apperence, friends, family, ect.
and we arent able to have and know it all
so we seem to want what others have and we dont
or jealousy can be formed out of a nervous habbit when
others become close to other people
your afraid you might loose them and you seem to find a jealousy to that new person
its all human nature as the other 2 responders said

Very simple...
We're animals..
All the negative emotions...jealousy, rage, spite, envy, love...sometimes, hatred, prone to occasional violence, etc...
Come from our "shadow," or subconcious...the "hard-wired" instincts, so to speak...Our culture trains us to ignore these traits, but ignore them at your own peril...I play rock guitar to honor my "shadow," which is one of many productive ways to channel the animal aggresion in all of us...
So naturally "Jealousy" rears its' ugly animal head from time to time...
I am Man, hear me growl...
