PAP smears are very important to a woman's health especially if she is sexually active. They detect abnormal cervial cells (HPV) which can possibly lead to cancer. Even if you are not sexually active but are menstruating I suggest seeing a gynecologist on a regular basis.

It's VERY important. Def. if you are sexually active. Condem's do not protect you from many pubic region std's, which could be contacted through skin to skin touching around the pelivs area. Also even without the sex involved it is very important because it could aware you of any poss. cancers on the cervix. Hope this helps.

Oh my god, get your butt in there and have one NOW!!! You could have some serious problems that can be really, realy bad. Pap smears can detect things early enough that they can be fixed!

They can be very important, because you may have an STD that has not shown any symptoms yet, and the sooner they catch it the easier it will be to get rid of it.
There is nothing wrong with them, they can be highly uncomfortable, but I assure you it is quick and painless.

It depends on how old you are and if you are sexually active.
If you are under 21 and not sexually active you don't need it. It is recommend that you have one by the age of 22 or with in 3 years of becoming sexually active.
