You don't HAVE to get a new reed - but it'd probably be a good idea to, chipped or worn reeds reduce the quality of the sound. Rico reeds aren't very expensive, you can get 10 for about £8/$15

if it's really small it should be okay for a while. i like place my reed every 6 months and for a pack of Rico reeds they are only about $15 for like 10 or something. i get mine a Yamaha. but i sometimes play with a broken reed.

Rico are the cheapest reeds available in most stores. If the reed no longer produces a sound or an airy sound you should buy a new one. Those reeds are about $1.50 each at my local music store.

You need to get new reeds. Ricos are the lowest line of clarinet reeds. I would suggest buying a Vandoren reed as you will get better results than Rico.
