When Im in the voting undecided questions section,in the Poll and surveys part,why does everyone just vote for the first answer?Why dont they bother reading all the answers , and voting on the best one (like I do ).Its encouraging rubbishy one line answers no ?

Dolores,by going through lots of different votes on different questions,the evidence strikingly suggests that its true.So I do know what other people are doing, thank you.

I agree i have been thinking the same thing myself.One of the problems I believe is that in some instances there are too many answers and you don't always want to read through them all.Also some answers are too long and technical.Another reason could be that some people may be trying to get a lot of points quickly and by choosing questions with not many answers and voting on the first one they can get through a lot in a short space of time. I actually think that the points system could be improved to eradicate a lot of the unfairness that goes on.I don't know how but I'm sure if the experts got together they could come up with a better system.I do have one suggestion, a panel to chose the best ten for people to vote on,perhaps,more people would be honest then when voting.Also it would be better if more people picked the answer to their own question.

You are right or they go through I think and vote for their own answer! I don't usually go into the Undecided's, once in a while...it just seems not worth it. When I do though I agree read all the answers and make a fair judgement, don't just vote for the 1 point I think it is better when the asker actually picks the answer.

It's all about the points for some reason people here are obsessed with them. I think it's rude when people allow their questions to go to vote why even ask the question if u aren't going to choose a best answer? It only allows people to go back and vote for their own answer anyway. Silly point whores. By the way I am a best answer whore that hat makes u look really sexy lol

A lot of people are only in the whole "voting for best answer" thing for the points. They don't really care what that answer actually is, they just figure they'll scroll down, click and repeat the process and be done with it. I vote for the most genuine answers.

How do you KNOW what other people do? Don't assume they are not reading all the answers and voting for the one they like best. Accept that if people have voted differently from how you would have voted it is because they have different taste, sense of humour or opinions to you. That's not so hard to grasp, is it?

Some people do scroll through to vote on the best answer. P & S is all about being quirky and funny so 'one liners' are a big part of it.

The P & S lot is a cynical, abrasive, bawdy, lewd, and dangerously fun group I'm pleased to be part of, seeing as much of the rest of Y!A is about as exciting as Friday night at the library.
Leave your oh-so-precious sensibilities at the door, because if not they will be flattened by a P & S steamroller.
Also, I think most people who seriously WANT answers to serious questions, don't bother with this site at all. Why put up with this site's crap when you can just go to Wikipedia to get the answers?

I don't know. People don't want to waste their valueble time I guess. By answering questions they are helping people. So they should vote for the answer they think is best.
