No. Definitely not. The universe is continually expanding everyday since the big bang so just imagine how big the universe is. Of course there has to be some form of living organisms in that almost infinte space that we call the universe. You should think about that.
I hope i helped you.

Dark...Hello there...It seems that you like this question a lot. I think you have asked it before...Right?
Based upon the more than 200 Billion Stars within the Milky Way Galaxy, each of which could have their own solar system of orbiting planets and moons, and the thousands and thousands of other galaxies outside of the Milky Way Galaxy, each of which has billions and billions of stars in it with solar systems of their own, the chances of having some various forms of living creatures somwhere out there in space is fairly good.
What you must accept is the idea that these life forms may be in any manner of shape, size, and species, not necessarily humanoid, like us. There is nothing, anywhere, to suggest that some particular planet out in space has undergone exactly the same set of circumstances over the last five billion years as the Earth has. In fact, the laws of probability suggest that the chances of that being true are so minimal as to be non existant.
So, the "company" (not being alone) that you seek might well be various worms, some form of fish, assorted birds, reptiles, strange insects, or any combination of the above. Think for a moment how inconvenient it is not to be able to fly like a bird. Maybe the life form that will give you company has developed a flying capability to assist their movement over long distances. Another pain in everyday life for humans is the inability to see directly behind us. So, possibly life forms on distant planets have also encountered this problem and solved it with rear mounted eyeballs, or eyes mounted on flexible stalks which can rotate up to 180 degrees. Are you prepared to deal with these ideas in your mind?

No.
We are not alone in the universe.
Universe is everything, it is made up of millions and millions of galaxies. In one such galaxy, we all live. That is called as Milky Way.The Hubble Space Telescope (HST) site estimates there is hundreds of billions of galaxies in the universe. A recent German super-computer simulation estimates that the number may be as high as 500 billion!.
The galaxy known which is near to our milky way is Andromeda Galaxy.

In terms of the possibility of other intelligent life that has both the ability to communicate using technology AND the ability to travel vast distances?
Yes, I do think we're alone.
Check out the Drake Equation at the SETI website. Good fun!
