Please give any equations as well if you can.
Thankyou.

Add silver nitrate solution. Ammonium bromide will give an off-white precipitate of AgBr, while the solution of ammonia will do nothing.

AgNO3 + NH4Br ----> AgBr + NH4NO3

Ammonia gives a basic solution :
NH3 + H2O <---> NH4+ + OH-
NH4Br is a strong electrolyte
NH4Br >> NH4+ + Br-
It derives from a weak base ( NH3) and a strong acid HBr so the hydrolysis of this salt gives an acidic solution.
To distinguish between these two solution wecan use a pH-meter or an indicator
