I've narrowed it down to that: I don't have the floor jack, jack stands, garage space or child-free work area to do it myself. Your best estimate would be a big help.

I'm not sure it kind of depends on your location. Mechanics charge different in many places. If I had to guess I would figure about $40 per hour labor for 2 hours of repair time plus the cost of the parts.

Mr T should have been able to retire at those prices instead of being a mechanic for 27 yrs...........the pump is about $70 the strainer $10..............labor is $150.........at my shop the total bill would be 250 to 270 parts and labor.....

Well the new pump - which I have in stock - 87.98 + tax

new sock filter prob about 4.00

And about 150-200 in labor time to replace.

look up cost of pump at advance or other..and labour is less then 4 hrs...in my town 20 to 40 / hour..in big citys 60 to 80 / hr

Pump is $4-500 depending on where you buy it. A couple of hun to install.

depends on your area. i'd say no more than 150.00 labor.
