I'd rather be spirited. It gives one the energy to deal with life. Soulful seems religiously sad and narcissistic. Spiritual is easy. It doesn't need religion, or imponderable questions about supernatural presumptions - you only have to see the connection between yourself and all existence.

I would rather aspire to be spiritual as to spirited or soulful. For it is my firm belief that the soul purpose of human existence in the material world is for the advancement of our spiritual awakening and exposure to the Laws of Goodness. In this is our contribution along the way, to the Universe and all other spiritual beings. One might say as one progresses spiritual certainly they are spirited and soulful at the same time. Spirit ward is our destiny.

NEVER soulful. We can be both spiritual & spirited. (I don't mean spiritual in the religious sense, although it seems to be the premise of many that only the religious have spirituality). While its use is primarily the supernatural, it can in another sense, contrast all nonmaterial or mental life with that of matter or body. I think that's quite a different thing. I couldn't choose, as to me, spirituality connects me to all things & is non-intellectual. Spirited, however is energy, good humour, & I couldn't do without either.

Spirited is best by far. Spirits and souls do not exist, but one can enjoy life by being spirited, since the word does not mean that real spirits literally exist. Soulful makes one more melancholy than spirited does.

I wouldn't want to be just one I prefer to be all three but I can tell you that one dominates more than the others, for me it is in order 1. spiritual 2, soulful 3. spirited. my zest for life is enormous but I love to acquire knowledge and look for the meaning of life. As for steven 25t while they are similar they are not exactly the same thing. spirited- full of life and energy. soulful-ones deeper emotions. spiritual- either religion or of higher learning of ones mind and spirit (wisdom). p.s. thank you enki for your lovely question. as always it's been a pleasure answering your question c u and talk to you later. have a great day . =)))))))

There can be many origins for human spirit by the virtue of the fact that it needs to kindle, raised, nurtured, manifested in purposes and safeguarded when purposes are crossed or encountered with spirits from opposing origins. I could have a spirit with mainly earthly origins, I could live to make my life comfortable and happy by means of material possessions, or I could seek drives and incentive for my thoughts and action through ambitions to excel and exceed in capability fellow human being; I could be socially active and concerned. Or I might seek inspiration from my intellectual pursuits; ideas, ideologies, thoughts and notion might be the food of my spirit. I can also be poetic or philosophical. A person could live on the intermixture of all these sources for the body and mind. But to be spiritual means that I tend to excel all these. I transcend all the physical forms and their ideological manifestations and seek spiritual goals. That I have ultimate questions but seek no answers; that all I think or do is governed by my spiritual ideals. I believe that all this is for reason, a manifestation of some purpose divine of the Supreme Spirit in existence, and that is the origin of my own spirit in this world. I am spiritual in my essence and spirited in various shapes and forms with one goal in view.

All three. Soulful has to do with being very expressive. Spirited has to do with being lively and energetic about life. And spiritual has to do with a deep sense of self awareness. All three are good qualities. I think it takes a combination of all of them to enjoy life to it's fullest. And a good day/evening to you, too!

Just as flour is the basic ingredient in baking a cake, so is spiritualism the key ingredient in being soulful and spirited.
