There is a hormone, secreted by the cells of the Pineal gland situated on the dorsal surface of the brain, called melatonin.This hormone is produce more in the night. It is related to sleep. Melatonin is related to photoperiod and biological clock. This hormone has a wide ranging effect, one of them is it is anti-gonadal.
