That's just in my opinion though because i watched him play. I guess most would say Pele or Maradonna but that's way before my time so i couldn't say.
Peter Schmeical and Thierry Henry also deserve mentions.

my personal opinion is Beckham, but EVER would have to go to Pele... who else could teach themselves to be ambidexterous, AND play just as well in their 30s as they did in their 60s? WHO ELSE I ASK YOU?! answer: no one
one of my friends said that there was a war going on in some country that Pele was playing a game in, so just temporarily, they stopped the war to watch the game... i have no legitimate source on that, it's just something he said that he could've made up off the top of his head... but what i said is true (teaching himself to be ambidexterous & the age range)
