I would like to add a photo of a spider that is in MY PICTURES, to see if anyone can identify it. How do I transfer the photo to my question?

Right click on your mouse on the address bar and click copy. Open your question and right click paste, that should work.

Your best bet is to post the photo on either flicker or photobucket, unless you have a home website you can put it up on and link to. We probably can't link to anything stored on your hard drive - even if you made the drive 'shared', I doubt that your setup is such that anybody off the web can just hook right down into your computer like that. And if they could, that would be very bad!
