Severus had been one of my favourite characters ever since the very first book...but now, having read the last one, I was touched by his true intentions.

And also, what moments do you find most exciting/touching/lovely in the final instalment?

Please star this question! :) (I like stars)

Severus Snape has always been my favorite, I've always trusted him. Spent quite a bit of time defending him/explaining his actions after the last book, and I am proud to say I was correct in almost everything! Only his motives I didn't know; I just felt we didn't have enough information to know what caused him to be loyal to Albus so I just held my judgment on that part. Of course I liked 'The Prince's Tale' best of all, and it was certainly the most touching.

And I'm very, very sad Severus had to die. He out of all people should've had a chance at a normal life, and his death was so senseless since he wasn't even the master of the Elder Wand. Was that really necessary for the story? Does a bad-guy-turning-out-good really *always* have to die a heroic death at the last moment? Can't help but think JKR may've killed him off because she wasn't really comfortable with how many fans among the readers he had... read an interview where she said she really couldn't understand how many people liked & even loved him, while he was so obviously nasty. So maybe she wanted him dead to stop half the female readers daydreaming about him? Or it may have been a more general way of tying up loose ends, like the epilogue in which she shows the trio all married & Neville at Hogwarts etc... Whatever it was, I'd have liked it better if he had at least gotten one of the horcruxes in the process, although Neville getting Nagini was really cool too. Thus it was Neville, who was so afraid of Severus the boggart even took his shape, ended up being the one to avenge him...

The Order of The Phoenix or The Deathly Hallows. I remember really enjoying The Order of The Phoenix. Harry as Teacher, Breaking into Ministry headquarters, Sirius dying & Harry's destiny being revealed, that scene in Hog's Head when everyone is discussing Harry's past exploits. It was all epic

Snape. His storyline was written so well throughout the books. It was completely unexpected. The Pensive scene was so amazing.

I also loved Lupin. I shed a tear or two when he died.

The whole Dobby death/burial scene was good. That Harry would dig his grave by hand to pay tribute to the House Elf.

And, I also liked the final battle between Harry and Voldemort. When Voldy really found out where Snape's loyalties lie.

Oh...and the Harry/Dumbeldore scene at the end. For some reason the words: "You wonderful boy. You brave, brave man." stuck with me. They seem childish, but I can't get them out of my head.

OK, one more. When Harry used the resurrection stone. When his loved ones where there. When he told his mother to stay close to him.

I don't have a favorite, but I like the trio, working together, friends til the end. Harry, Hermoine, and Ron. I think it's a touching relationship, and that after everything they've been through, they're still together.

Nymphodora Tonks. She will always be loved and never forgotten. She was brave, funny, smart, cool, and just plain awesome. I couldn't believe it when she died and I had found tears streaming down my face. I kept telling myself that she hadn't died but I had to face the fact. Even now, I find it hard to accept it.

People are probably going to hate me for this but I absolutely adore Bellatrix. You love to hate her but she is written so well (and portrayed wonderfully by the actress in the fifth movie) and she's my role model. Not really but well, yeah. SHe's awesome! XD. Well, when I feel like acting evil she's my role model. When I don't, Tonks is.

Hermione is my favorite character since the first book because she is so smart and capable of defending herself even though she is bookish. But in the final book, i really liked tonks and i was so saddened when she and lupin died. that was the most touching part of the book for me
