my laptop detects a free public wifi and it says that speed is 54.0 Mbps signal quality: not connected?

whats that suppose to mean?

this mean u r in reach of wifi connection area, but as ur not authorize user of the same ur laptop is not getting connecting with same

You are picking up a signal from another wireless router
