I've seen certain DVDs of low budget movies having the logos of high profile studios like universal,20th century fox etc.and some people are hoodwinked with those studio logos on such DVDs and buy them. I realised this recently after buying one such movie which had the Lionsgate mark on it but i realised that i had been cheated after i saw the movie which was a B grade one.

That's why you shouldn't judge a movie by its label.

Lionsgate (and indeed many, if not all, of the other studios) also perfrom distribution for other, smaller, studios. That is likely why you saw their sticker on there.

You weren't hoodwinked or scammed, you just made the wrong decision in buying a movie based solely on it's distributior's logo.

Hope this helps!

If it was a blockbuster type of movie and it was b grade then it was an illegal copy. If it was an unknown movie then it could have just been the small budget type of cheap movie and you got what you paid for.
