This is a myth, but it does have some truth. Yes, the individual hairs will grow back thicker, but this is due to your own body chemistry, not from the fact you shaved. Whether or not you shave, the hairs will grow thicker eventually. I'm a girl and I started to shave in middle school. I'm not sure when guys start to shave, but I'm guessing when the hair starts to be noticeable.

In my experience, every time I shave it grows back just a little bit thicker and darker/more distinguished. I have noted this especially in the areas of hair other than your face. As to when you should start shaving, it depends on your actual person. Me personally, I started when I was 15, and I think that it was a little to early. I know it is tempting to start, but I suggest waiting until it really needs to be done. I hate shaving!

Well, it does get thicker over ime, but this is not because of shaving. Also you might notice that your hair will be harder this is also doe to growing, but shaving does get rid of the soft hairs so you'll notice the hard hair a littke earlier. There will be no long term impacts of shaving earlier, so you should shave as soon as you want to.

No its not true that shaving will make the hair grow thicker.
It tends to thicken as you get older, which is why so many attribute that to shaving it, because the older you get the more often you will have shaved.
The stubble sometimes feels coarser than uncut hair because of the blunt end as opposed to the tapered end of a normally grown hair.
To a large extent the thickness of your hair is determined by genetics, and ethnicity which is something you can't alter.

No it won't. I'm 60 and still don't have much. I started shaving at 16.
