im only 17 and i was wondering if i was already considered tall as far as adults go!

Yes you are tall - but not that overly tall. Just remember hold your head and shoulders up, try not to slump, be proud of your height!

There's an interesting article to read on height below. 5'9" -5'10" is about "average" in the US. However, it varies based on ethnicity.
So, I would say you're definitely above average in height. I find it interesting that Americans are no longer the tallest.

you are at the high side of average. too much than that and you will be too tall fo call yourself average any more. do yourself a favour and develop some muscle on those long bones or you will look lanky.and comical like "kramer" or john cleese

well if you go by the average which is 5'6" yes, but I know more guys 6'2" than 5'6" so no, it would be around average, at least for males in the US
