the movie is just a movie....but the real story shows how by believing in something with such a passion can make it real, the french soldiers weren`t any better after Jeanne`s arrival but they believed in her and they fought better. And also her tragic end shows how hypocrite the Church is, among many things, she was accused of heresy of saying that god talked to her in french when the english holy men claimed that god spoke english...Some say she was crazy, when she heard voices but crazy or not she lead la France to some important victories...Jeanne d`Arc is a symbol of faith
But what i don`t understand is why is this question in the mythology and folklore section, since La Pucelle d`Orléans was a real person?

The real Joan of Arc did have an angel send by God to guide here in her endeavors..... And this all happen before she was even 18 years of age... And yes the Catholic Church did burn her on a stake out of pure jealously because God choose to talk to her and not them...... And yes she did save her country from foreign rule.. And yes she was betrayed by the very same people that she helped saved...... And who how much more she could have helped her the people of her country if she could have manage to stay out of the hands of the Catholic Church.... And how many little boys and girls she could have saved from the lust of the Catholic Priests...

I think it's a bunch of bull crap. I don't beleive she actually recieved a message from God Himself. I think she only claimed to get a message from God so that she can fight in the war.
