Isn't it ironic that thesaurus doesn't have much in the way of synonyms?
synonymicon ( dictionary of synonyms. ) = thesaurus (a book containing a classified list of synonyms)
synonym finder (a book containing a classified list of synonyms)
Roget (the name of the man who compiled the Thesaurus of English Words and Phrases in the 1800's). This isn't officially a synonym for thesaurus, but people look for Roget's (thesaurus) the same way they look for Webster's (dictionary,) so essentially it is used as a synonym.

Since THESAURUS has two meanings, there may be at least two possibilities.
1. 'A book of synonyms, often including related and contrasting words and antonyms.'
synonym = "synonymicon" (OR you might use a 'brand name', e.g., "look it up in your Roget's" just as people sometimes use "Webster's" as a general term for dictionary or "Funk & Wagnall's" for encyclopedia)
2. 'A book of selected words or concepts, such as a specialized vocabulary of a particular field, as of medicine or music.'
synonym: "lexicon"
