I have heard that male rhinos are scared of sex and run away seeing females of the species??

Hmmm never heard that one. Though there are males that will run from other males during breeding because they know they are out-matched.
However I will say that rhinos to tend to get made fun of for being dumb, but it is because of their eyes. They have extremely poor eye sight and can only see clearly a few feet infront of them. There are many cases where people have watched rhinos charge large rocks, trees, etc (and at times hit them) because they see them from a distance and think they are a danger. By the time they see what it is it is too late to stop. :)

In most species if the male isn't fit enough the female will rough him up.
