Now, if as you describe it, these people you know ALWAYS end their statements this way, they sound extremely stubborn or bossy Not sure how you put up with people who never are open to discussing their ideas or demands.

Period is another word for full stop which goes at the end of a sentence when you're writing,. Period at the end of a spoken statement indicated that this
is the end of their statement.
