My desktop 3 yrs ago was 900 (now prob 300) and an emachine
My laptop was 600 (this year) and is a compaq.
Am on the desktop, can type faster on the lgr keyboard

$85 Macintosh G3/450 desktop, one Gig RAM, 80 Gig hard drive. If you need to do professional quality video production, then get a new computer. Otherwise, get a used one real cheap.

My computer was given to me by my step-son *(a very used one, too!) My daughter pays for my net services. I am using a desktop IBM with dial up internet services.....slow but steady and reasonably priced.

My have three but my favorite is an Apple MacBook. It's almost a year old and cost $1100.
