Can anyone link me to a site with a list/ description of the PC beep codes.

Also my PC is beeping at a 40 second interval, just one beep. Anyone know what it means

doesn't sound like a post code to me. Do a search for POST codes. www.bioscentral.com

That's not a "post" beep code, does the PC have any other symptoms ?

Out of interest you don't have a smoke alarm in same roomm that might need a new battery ? They beep like that !

If it IS coming from PC, open case with PC on, try to locate if there is a component beeping, or if it's the mainboard / speakers.
If coming from speeakers, boot windows to safe mode (tap F8 repeatedly during early stages of boot to get menu and choose safe mode) If it does not beepo here it's a program in background beeping.

If it's more a bong, check USB connections / hubs and unplug every USB device see if it stops.

Good luck

Go to Nvidia's website and look up the trouble shooting codes for your motherboard

All depends on the Motherboard/manufacturer of the PC.
