Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with your sound device. There may not be a sound device installed on your computer, it may be in use by another program, or it may not be functioning properly.

Click Start, then Run. Type dxdiag, then click OK. Choose the sound tab. You should see your device and driver there and you can even test the sound. If there is no device or driver, just install it and check it with dxdiag again.

just restart windows it will solve the problem in most situations if not then reinstall ur Audio drivers from the motherboard CD.

First, dump and then reload this sotware, if it fails to work a second time, look to an updated version.

only 2 things to consider:

try reinstall your WMP coz it errors everytime opening..or reinstall the sound card. that's it.
