Messaging though Network?

In my office wehave network without domain(workgroup).
Can I send messages to other computers from my computer

go to command prompt, then type
net send ""

before do this kind messaging, you need to open the service for all computer users

go to control panel -> administrative tools -> services, then find the service name called messenger and the setting should be started in automatic mode

Yes ofcourse you can send messages through network.
it is not necessory to join domain or workgroup.
