Jerry springer?

In this day and age American TV shows are seen all over the world. Are Americans proud, embarresed or what at this projection of Life styles here?
Many cultures feel as much threaten by this as they are by other extremist.

People in Us might dismiss it as light hearted fun but millions across the globe simply do not know and get a very twisted idea.

people believe what they will granted. I am talking about decent people everywhere who have no animosity re US or no axe to grind. Does it concern Americans what impression they get. From certain responses I get , it seems their line is" we dont give a damn and get off your high horse'!

people will judge how they want to. yes, springer portrays a lot of trashy guests, but this is one show. there are many shows on television that are not as trashy as this one. i would venture to guess that america is disliked more than liked globally. so they will choose how to perceive us. whether by springer, oprah, dr phil, or the view.

Jerry Springer is entertainment. I know for a fact at least some of the stories are fake; some friends of mine were on the show and they said they made it up.

Whether somebody thinks it's entertaining or not is up them. It's a silly show; I see no reason to be embarrassed about something I had nothing to do with.

Every country or people probably has a side of their culture that is just as silly. My wife is from India and they sure do have some silly movies. I have also seen some Hispanic and Japanese TV that is really over the top. I saw a TV show in Spanish that was apparently a lot like Jerry Springer. One segment was entitled "Mi Hermana Es Me Esposa" (my sister is my wife) or something like that.

I have only seen the Jerry Springer show a couple times...and then I can only take it for so long before I feel the need to shower. It's just a lousy depiction of Americans and some truly idiotic situations.

I'm an Australian who has watched Jerry Springer enough times to know its crap.
I have also visited America and never came across anyone who appears like they should go on that show. For most people who are actually able to think for themselves, they would realize how much crap that show is and that its just a form of entertainment, like "Bold and the beautiful" etc.

Every country has its own type of trailer trash! Just because the rest of the world sees your country's doesn't mean that we judge the whole of America and think everyone is just like that! I can assure you, that we're laughing at them knowing that we have the same type of people in our own borders! Just cause we're not American doesn't mean we're stupid enough to believe everything- thats your guy's job lol. We are knowledgable of the good side of America too. Believe me, we get more than just Jerry Springer! Blame your corporations!
But anyways, stop fretting. Cause deep down in every one of us, we have a little trailer trash too ;)

After watching ninja warrior and most extreme elimination challenge on G4. I can proudly say I am not embarrassed one bit. The Chinese are just as bad, or maybe worse then the US.
