Mr Aaron did it without cheating...

Why is this even a viable question? The bottom line is that Barry Bonds. the moment he hits #756 will have hit more home runs then any other player in Major League history. Whether he has used performance-enhancing drugs or not ( I personally think he has) will have no effect on that. The record book is just that - a record book. There is no room for judgment in it. 756 home runs is more then 755. People can argue this until the end of time, but the bottom line is that when the new edition of the record book comes out next year, Barry Bonds will be listed as the all time leader in home runs, with Aaron 2nd and Ruth 3rd. And regardless of what happens after that, even if Bonds fails a drug test, even if he openly admits to using the drugs, he will still hold the record. Many people are comparing him to Pete Rose. When Rose was put on the permanently ineligible list, his records were not removed from the record book. He is still the all time leader in hits. The same holds true for the members of the Black Sox. Bonds record will stand until someone breaks it - period.

This question is easy to answer...Bonds is (or will be) the champ in the steroid era and Aaron is the champ of the pre-steroid era.

I don't think that either Bonds or Aaron should lose their record due to steroids. Let's face it. Baseball has changed. Two different champs for two different eras.

By the way, Bonds DID admit to taking steroids.

I think Hank Aaron should hold the homerun record. He got 755 homers on his own without steroids. Bonds is at 754 he will break the record this season and no matter how much we want it taken away from him he will still be the new the altime homerun leader.

Even though it hasn't been proven, I do question Bonds using enhancing drugs.

I would say Aaron, because Bonds seems like an egomaniac.

Hank Aaron should still be the all time leader.

The player with the most home runs...should be considered the player with the most home runs.
